Before you begin

View alternatives for backordered items before purchase
Search for the item that you want to buy. If the item is on backorder, the estimated delivery date will be listed.
- From the item details page, select View Alternatives to compare similar products, including real-time shipping timelines.
Manage backordered items after purchase
You receive an email notification if an item you have already purchased becomes backordered.

The order will remain in an in progress state in on the Order History page. There is no separate backorder status shown here.
If the item has not shipped, you can cancel it using the cancellation workflow.
If the item has already shipped, changes must follow the returns process.
